Oh, Williams is ready, make no mistake, ................. but he's not ready for Margarito.

P-Will has had 35 fights, fought under the bright lights, watched by millions via hbo... I think he's pretty much ready for the next step. As for choosing Tony THE DESTROYER as this step, that's in question. But you gotta step up sometime in this sport! It's a belt, and a winnable fight for The Punisher.

I don't know what's with all this "development" talk these days.

I mean.... the man has 35 freakin' fights. Any more development and he's pampered IMO. We pamper our boxers. I don't recommend throwing them to the wolves like Team Vargas did with Tito, but these days I hear all this development talk, money, risk, blah blah...... just man up and fight for the prize! Williams is 25 and more than ready physically. Back in the old days, you were champ BY 25. haha I could be wrong on that, but guys.... it's well known we are pampering our boxers these days.
I mostly agree. After 30 plus fights,I'd like to think he would no longer be labelled as a prospect. And as you stated, with his physical attributes,it's certainly a winnable fight for him. Good point on the champions of yesteryear, like Benitez etc. Heck,I'm sure Azumah Nelson was fighting the legendary Sal Sanchez when he was merely 17?Pernell was fighting Roger Mayweather,Ramirez etc in his first 20 or so fights.
