Baldomir is definitely the hardest fight to defend. All I can say there is that Judah GROSSLY underestimated Baldomir's will to win and did not come prepared. Shouldn't happen to elite fighters, but it happened to Judah. Remember, his mental focus hasn't always been his strong point.
On PBF... did you see the way he was getting off on Floyd early in the fight? How many other fighters have been able to do that? That Floyd adapted and began to solve Judah later in the fight? Yes....... but we ARE talking about the world's top p4p.
Against Cotto, Judah came to win. He showed focus, he showed heart. He tagged Cotto early and hard. But that's my whole point. This is where Cotto showed himself to be the elite 147-pounder that many people didn't want to admit he is.
Just because Cotto gave Judah a world-class beatdown doesn't all of a sudden make Judah a bum.
I guess we'll just have to disagree. I don't by any means think Judah all of a sudden became a bum. First he's not a bum, second I've always thought he was overrated. Not trying to take anything away from Cotto's win, he beat Judah up worse than anybody.Originally Posted by TitoFan
I just don't see the argument about the KT fight. That he did very well in the first round doesn't mean much to me. Kostya QUICKLY adjusted and to me the KO punch didn't come out of nowhere, Judah did nothing that round, very tentative.
I give him credit for doing well in the early rounds against Floyd but again, to me, its a bit of a microcosm of his whole career. He always looks good early, but its almost never enough. He pretty much always fades. Plus I think it was a bit of a style thing, Floyd would rather sit back and counter which he wasn't able to do cause of Judah's style and also adjusting to not being by far the faster guy. But great fighters like Floyd make adjustments, they don't fade, they don't go into a shell like Judah does.
Not trying to take away from Cotto's win. A win over Judah is still a good win, but I don't see Judah as a true threat to the elite. Not talking about other guys, like Sal said, he'd beat Joel Julio.I don't even hate Judah anymore, I use too, but I've always thought people overrated him and I still do.
in boxing theres a litlle thing called tune up fight i dont if youve heard, its been around for quite a while, now judah is a tough tune up but he is for tzu because of all the reasons u mentionedOriginally Posted by THE THIRD MAN

I never said that he was a top fighter at this point (he has been losing the big fights). But he is an elite talent. He clearly does not keep it together mentally & IMO this is probably the biggest reason that he has not been living up to his potential. But IMO he is defintely a threat to anyone that gets in front of him.Originally Posted by OumaFan
CC back. Yeah... it's one thing not to like Zab. But you gotta be objective when discussing fighters. And boxing's notorious for downplaying a fighter's skills after he's lost a fight. Zab has always been, and continues to be a dangerous opponent at WW, like him or not.Originally Posted by silent assassin
