He fought like Hatton during the second half of the Urango fight, but it backfired on him.

I really meant for his big gob ! Saying to Alcine "your biggest win is against someone who we wouldn't even use as a sparring partner" and just talking shit in general.

But yes you're right his tactics were arrogantly awful in the fight.

Best thing that happend last night was Nonito's left huck.

I'm sure he and Alcine will be back but neither was that impressive..

It was a bad fight. Simms looks best against people who stand right in front of him, so does Alcine. They didn't have them and it was a bad fight..

My thoughts on Simms totally, as bad as he looked last night, put him in with a somewhat slow pressure fighter and he'll look like a star.

But at least Alcine made a decision after a few rounds to stop waiting, well at least to some extent. Simms just never adjusted.

I've seen Simms look good against boxers before... maybe he had an off night? It just seems strange because he is so solid at everything he does, and he has before shown excessive hugging in any of his fights that I've seen.

Really, he looked like he'd been off over 2 years on Sat. He looked pretty good to me when he won the title back in Jan.

I got lucky saying that Simms was subpar the day before he showed the world that he was subpar. Still, it's not like Alcine did anything great or dominated Simms with superior firepower or handspeed. They both stunk the place up.

The fight looked like something one of us might put on if we doned the gloves during a cookout.
