That knockdown was crap, technically I guess it may have been legit, but it didn't hurt Simms a bit. Weird, boring, bad fight. Tough break for Simms, he could bounce back from this, just needs another chance against a big name opponent.
How disappointing for Simms. The commentators had Simms ahead, just, so the final scores were a bit of a surprise to them. I had it close too, only 3 points either way, but the 3rd judges card had Alcine miles ahead. Sorry I can't remember who or how much, hang on i'll see if boxrec has it...................................."Judge: Glenn Feldman 110-115 | Judge: Tom Kaczmarek 109-116 | Judge: George DeGabriel 111-114 ~" Ok so it was the second judge here but i think they read it out last at the fight. I actually found the fight quite interesting to watch. It was a little awkward at times due to the southpaw thing but it was a good technical fight IMO. Did you see Alcine Stepping on Simms right foot? He was warned once but kept trying it like N'Dou v Malignaggi, but it obviously worked for Alcine better. What's Simms to do now at 36 years of age? I presume there is a rematch clause?
