Benn ?? well i don't know about that

Calzaghe ?? are you kidding me Jones moved up to Lightheavyweight in 1997 and Calzaghe hadn't even won title off faded Eubank then why would he bother ??

Eubank wouldn't ever go to USA
mate waren offered Roy over 5mill numerous times to figth calzaghe after calzaghe had beaten eubank and roy was considerd to be p4p 1/2 in the world lol...
And was Joe willing to come to USA ?? or move up to Lightheavyweight ?? i highly doubt it.
Roy jones was the one who said he would come down to SMW for it... knowing he would be mroe effective at smw...
Yes I remember. Jones did offer to move back to 168 for a fight with Calzaghe. And Joe said he would come to the US. The fight talk ended when Calzaghe demanded equal pay. It's seems Calzaghe's groupies always leave that little part out.
you always post stuff liek this but never once been able to give us a link to some real source... u said this about hopkins to, it gets borring mate...
Because you always provide links for your posts right?

    Calzaghe isn't a name now.
Still when a fight has to be made and it's clear and it isn't then questions will arise....
Monzon wasn't a name here in the States and he came in and beat Benvenutti.
Pac wasn't a name here and he came in and destroyed Ledwaba.
The point is the fights were there for RJJ to make he was the man here and HE should have made the fights happen for him for his legacy.
Not really though only Dariusz Michalczewski I can't really think of many others maybe rematch with Hopkins.

Come on fellas who gives a crap what happened 10 years ago, we'll never know, all we have is one promoter's word against the either, and none of em are saints. Let's focus on the issue at hand, calzaghe and kessler are finally getting it on!!!! I had lost faith in this comming off, and I don't want to get overly excited cause who knows what could happen between now and november but shit I can't help it. This ought to be freaking awesome, and I'm going with cal by decision, well only 4 months to go now.

I mean Dariusz was there what happened.
But anyway judging by how you see things Dariusz was tailor made for RJJ and RJJ would have a field day with Dariusz, Hopkins in the rematch, Collins.

It's the same shit over and over. Big fights don't get made. And it's always somebody else's fault. Never Calzaghe's. Whatever helps you sleep at night, boy.

Well I think we can all see quite clearly that Joe and Frank to give them some credit are and have been throughout in the driving seat, no?

I think Jones would struggle with Hopkins but others he would beat convincing im sorry Mick but i think Jones was special skillwise and he was leagues ahead of most people i mean he made Toney look foolish winning almost every round Jones was special like SRR was like Ali was ect we only get this type of boxers once in blue moon and im glad i was able to see it.

CC# 98 on me CFH for being smart enough to realize how many times this fights been official.
Sorry Mick, but can you link me to when this fight has been made official before? I confess, I have followed the saga with interest and think you're being dramatic and not actually reading what is published, the last one I remember was that they were awaiting contracts to fight in Denmark. S***, I reckon you just don't like him eh?
I like Joe I think hes a skilled fighter.
I have issues with the qaulity of his opposition just like I have it with RJJ, Pryor and Zarate.
But as a fighter I think hes talented.
It just so happens that I've been following Kess before he was champ and hes been my guy since then and will be for this matchup. S***! I was riding Kess off for not having the balls to take the fight to Joe got through some of my posts.
I was pissed at both soo no hating here. Just happy that it appears like the matchups happening and heres hoping Kess can bring his A game that night and do what he does best.
    Roy Jones beat

    Virgil Hill
    Bernard Hopkins
    James Toney
    Montell Griffin
    Clinton Woods
    Vinny Pazienza
    Thulani Malinga
    Reggie Johnson
    Eric Harding

Who else could Roy Jones have fought ??

And same goes for Pryor he was the one calling out Leonard and Leonard moved up to avoid Pryor and Pryor also wanted Duran its not Pryors fault big fights didn't happen he was also going to fight Ray Mancini until Mancini was upset by Livingstone Bramble.
Michaelshevski was the best fight out there fr a long time

Yeah but he never wanted to leave home. If he would of came to the US and at least try and force to issue it would of been different. But he didn't. He needed Jones more than Jones needed him.

Let's get one thing straight here....
Whoevers the dumb! F*** to come on here and start S***! and ride of Kess is just that a fwocken idiot.

    Heres what I'm getting to.....
If Joe beats Kess regardless of how he does it, Joe will have earned the respect he has been claiming.
Whoever thinks otherwise is just a wanker and is here to start S***.
Not only that but if Joe embaresses Kess whoa!! he will def. catapult in all-time rankings and def. as one of the best fighters of our times.

I mean these are 2 fighters in their primes, undefeated, established Champs with decent records some questionable opponents. Some people say Kess has fought the more prominent names some people say Joes the one with the better quality of opposition. Whatever the case maybe they are fighting eachother and all that goes out the window come that night.
But you can't discredit their undefeated records either cause they also make for interesting talk. This is like Lloyd vs. Donald, 'Finito' vs. Alvarez as far as records or like Gonzalez vs. Carbajal, Naz vs. MAB, ODLH vs. SSM as far as fighters at their best at the time of the fight.

Also the same should apply for Kess if he defeats Joe. No excuses if Joe is the man at SMW and is defeated by Kess then Kess becomes the man at SMW.

So please Kess fans be gracious in victory and defeat don't come here just talking S***! Some of you guys give him a bad name with some of the stuff you guys post. I know those memmbers are no longer here
but to those who may come give credit to whoever wins. I know I will.

The fight is in Wales. If Kessler dominates Calzaghe but for some reason does not get the decision. I will give Calzaghe no credit what's so ever.

What if we turn that statement on it's head..would you give Kessler any credit?
Joe was willing to travel to Denmark which is fact and financially it makes no sense for either to fight their so he can't be blamed really can he?
Oh I think there's more of a chance of Calzaghe getting a shady deal than Kessler. But if so I will give Kessler no credit as well.
and if calzaghe wins clearly, then what?

you gunna give him respect, or just talk about how he 'ducked' johnson or his a hometown fighter?
Violent D does not shy away from giving a fighter his due if it's earned. Question is can you Preme (the one with the Calzaghe poster on his bed room wall) admit your fighter is overrated if he was to easily get blown out?
Sorry im not a kid with posters on his walls or gets sent to juvi like some postes on here

you already asked me this, and i answerd you... Plain and simple yes... but i know it wont happen

Any fighter who is said to be world class and gets 'blow out' would be overrated...
I ain't been to juvi in 13 years.
    whata guy
We can't all grow up in an environment were you play video game all day long and have your mommy read you a bed time story before going to bed.

It's the fight this division needs and boxing fans worldwide are looking forward to the most.
I don't think the Super Middleweight division has ever had a fight this big before?
You are spot on when you say both guys deserve respect for this, I personally think Kessler will win but i've seen him up close against Mundine. Calzaghe is unbeaten and you can't do any better than that.
    This fight will be HUGE!!!
