I have to admit the fight matters to me in some aspects....

    1. I would like to see Jones have a good fight and manage to get through with no damage....The Glen Johnson KO scared the hell out of me...Roy hit his head so damn hard!!!!

    2. The other is I would like to just see what he has left if anything in terms of his ability

I just will not pay 30.00 for it...29.99 close enough

I wont be around this weekend to get it anyway . I am a big fan of Roys but I dont think I would pay $30.00 for this fight . Im sure I can see it later somehow. I hope he is impressive.

The difference between Roy and Joe C is that Roy has haters now after he has been koed. Joe hasent even lost yet and he has haters for some reason. Im a big fan of both guys.

This fight has no relevance at this point, it's just Jones trying to make a few bucks off his name.
Kinda sad that he slipped so fast and hard, but I'm not even putting this fight on the sports book.
This weekend is full of well contested title fight with current and future stars FOR FREE.
RJJ should be a Friday night Fight on ESPN at best.

    Ouch!
    I wouldn't go that low
HBO, Showtime would be just fine none PPV.
Possibly NBC you know the date they had for Tarver maybe RJJ can set something up with them.

As far as least profitable goes there have been so many. Heavyexplosion cards from C.Kushner were worse and probably drew less revenue. In the early days of DTV small PPV's were on often, problem was few watched them. Fighters like Jones Jr. and Holyfield know they can rely on their fans to at least make more money than they would fighting on ESPN2 or Fox's BDS. One problem is that less people watch.

I agree. There are enough longtime Jones fans who will order his fights no matter what. This fight is not going to do well PPV-wise, but it won't be one of the worst ever either. For example, Cotto-Malignaggi did 60,000 buys last year, I bet Jones' fight beats that one by a decent margin.

But they musta forgot!! That RJJJ ain't the same no more.
What's funny about this is a month ago or so Hanshaw was on Sho:Box Next Gen. now all of a sudden hes fighting on PPV against RJJ. Talk about robbing people, I mean save your money with that money go out by some beer and chips and enjoy the FREE fights on HBO.
I can respect the Jones fans who will watch him instead of the free HBO card. I'll be doing the same thing for Erik Morales next month. The Morales PPV is on the same night as the free Marquez-Vasquez rematch, and the free fight will be a much better fight than the PPV, but I'll be paying the $50 and watching the PPV out of loyalty to a fighter who's given me a lot of great fights over the years.

I've made up my mind and I won't be buying the Erik-Diaz PPV.
I just wont, I'll just find the fight somwhere that nigh or the next day but I refuse to pay for PPV events that IMO are just out for the buck and not to put on good fights.
I also won't be buying the Hopkins-Wright PPV.
