Arturo Gatti (40-8, 31 ko's) vs Alfonso Gomez (16-3-2, 7 ko's) Round 1: Gatti looks old. Gatti first to jab. Left hook from Gomez. Gatti just moving & jabbing. Left hook from Gomez again. Right hand by Gomez. Left hand from Gomez. Body shot from Gatti. Gomez to the body & then nails Gatti with a right hand. Gatti jabbing. Double left hook seemed to stun Gatti. Jabs from both. Right hand from Gomez. Gatti shouldn’ta taken that. Jabs from Gomez. Both exchange hooks. Tie up & spin from Gatti. Jab from Gatti & Gomez shows no respect. Right hand misses from Gatti, Gomez counters left! Whack. Trading at the bell!!! Gatti looks TERRIBLE!

    Round to Gomez

Arturo Gatti (40-8, 31 ko's) vs Alfonso Gomez (16-3-2, 7 ko's) Round 2: Gomez the more effective fighter. Gatti comes out moving & jabbing. Gomez whacks him! Gatti eats an upper. Gatti jabs. Gomez to the body. Left hand from Gatti. Hard right from Gomez & Gatti is back pedaling. Gatti jabs. Gomez keeps on comin. Two rights & an upper from Gomez as Gatti continues to move & jab. Left hand from Gomez. Gatti hooks. Left hand from Gatti. Two hard rights from Gomez. Gatti is just wide ass open for it. 1-2-3 from Gatti. Gomez cracks him with a counter right. Nice hook exchange from both.

Gomez is doing everything right so far. He did gas against Feliciano though so it's possible Gatti may be able to make a charge late, although he's probably already booked his retirement in the 9th round :P

This is sad just reading. Gomez isn't that good of a fighter. He's so ordinary, he beat one person bigger then him and fought with heart and got a little better but he's not that good of a fighter. And the fact that he is beating Gatti, who is MILES ahead of Gomez in terms of skill, is just sad.

I hope Gatti pulls it out, and then retires. Sad...

    look PM

the worst would be if he manages a KO late, then he would think he has no reason to stop fighting

Gomez is better than you credit. He's done well against some quality opposition, not the bum you are making him out to be.

yeah this is hard to watch as a Gatti fan. Gomez is absolutely dominating Gatti and dictating the entire fight.
