Styles make fights my friend. Williams skill wise is not in Maywether's level. But if you actually put these two guys in the ring there are a number of problems I see for Floyd.

1. Williams is 1/2 ft taller. Not a big deal here cuz Williams use his hight that well but it does add that much more to Williams reach advantage. It also means that PBF will be pounching up all night which makes him tire a bit more.

2. Williams has close to a ft of reach advantage. This is a huge cussion. It means that Williams will be able to start shooting those jabs before PBF can even start thinking of throwing that lead right.

3. Williams averages close to 100 pounches per round. This to me is Floyd's biggest hurtle. Most would agree that the man to beat Floyd is one that out works him and keeps him in the defensive.

4. Williams is a lefty. Just to add another level of complexity.

They are good points indeed, but they do not change the facts. So many people on this forum seem to jump from bandwagon to bandwagon that you'd think they'd have learned something by now.

Cotto is about the only one who has looked like he has the game to take out Mayweather .

Williams throws alot of punches, but his effectiveness is appauling. I can see why Margarito was confused by the result. He blocked such a high volume of punches that he must have believed he was defensively outmanouvering his opponent. However, margarito was so slow to the punch all night that williams could do nothing but look good.

The cold hard facts remain. Williams would maintain a high volume of punches all night. Mayweather would sit back and dodge at least half of them, blocking most of the rest. I'd expect Williams to only land about 15 per round against Mayweather at very best. The first 6 rounds would be split with Mayweather's better accuracy . By the later rounds Mayweather would stroll away with the fight.

I do not believe that Williams is a bad fighter, he is much better than Margarito, but I never gave Margarito a half a chance against Mayweather so I can't give Williams much of a shot either and that is considering his package as a fighter, with the awkwardness he brings and the volume of work.
