They're a Malaysian family, and with four kids they're not exactly the kind of family I'd expect to see in a one-bedroom flat.

I'd rather have one party there once a month, than the constant bang bang bang of their kids playing wrestling/football/jump about all day between 7am and 10pm.

This sounds all to familiar....
My word of advice to you is do what my grandma does to her neighbors up stairs.

She grabs her broom or mop or whatever long object she/you can find and starts banging her roof/their floor as hard as she can. She usually does this once the dad has come home from work and want's to rest. One day the dad came down stairs to ask my grandma what the deal was my grandma told him when you can make your kids stop I'll stop myself.

Ever since then they've kept it down and she hasn't had any more problems in regards to that.
