    Default Greates w/o

I don't know if this has been debated on here before; but what is everyone's opinion on who would be the greatest fighter who never won a world tiltle?? May be a stupid question, but one of my picks is Emanuel Augustus. Great fighter in my opinion, just sometimes seemed to want to dance more than fight. Jerry Quarry is another of mine. Please only 1 sad click per person if this is a gay topic.

Emanuel Augustus was nothing close to great. He wasn't even that good. He was/is a journeyman fighter who entertains the crowd. That's it. It's a disgrace the way this man wasted his talent. Cuz he was talented. I'll give him that. But never any good. The best recent fighter to never win a title I think is Oba Carr

Good point; I guess I should have also said fighters who could have been great had they tried harder, but then it would have been an endless topic. Sad click me please.

    No way. CC in fact.
Augustus is one of my Fave fighters. Entertaining, inconsistant, slightly corrupt and VERY talented.

Not sure if he was good for the sport though Was always willing to fight anyone at the drop of a hat
but sometimes his 'motivation' was questionable

Too bad his three title shots where against Trinidad, Quartey and de la Hoya. Talk about coming up in the wrong time.

Hit the damn return key by mistake, add Sam Langford, Peter Jackson and Sam McVey. All kept outside because they were the wrong color for the time.

Emanuel (Burton) Augustus was maybe one of the funest, but there are so many throughout history W/O a title on their resume that were alot better.

I have an issue with the question here.

The question is Greates't' without a title/Greats without a world title'

IMO the following guys DON'T qualify as GREATS without a world title.

I also think this would be easier if we listed the BEST fighters without a world title.

Heres some fighters I think were some of the BEST fighters not to win world titles

    Kid Azteca
    Charley Burley
    Kid Lewis
