I think the RJJ-Toney answer is somewhere in the middle.

Toney was struggling at the weight and had to stay busy to help keep the weight down. Half of his previous 10 fights were above 170 and he fought at 181 lbs just a few months before the RJJ loss. He was having trouble.

BUT, Jones was masterful that night and a fully fit, non weight struggling Toney wouldn't have had a chance. Didn't matter what weight, where or anything else. Jones had Toney's number that night.

I always felt Roy could have done more though. I know he was scarred by the Korea decable but he should have gone over to Europe to fight Mikael, Michalsz, Michelswk, Michazsk, that Polish fella.
