Why is Hopkins praised for his style and Hatton crucified?

I hate Hopkins style (AKA Juggernaut from the X-men) more than Hatton's

I will never praise that style.

The intentional holding in boxing has to be stopped it's ruining the sport IMO.

Some people may like it, but IMO it's cheating straight up.

I can understand a fighter holding on for dear life, what I can't
condone is using it as a defensive strategy.

No cheating is Listons blatant eye gouges
Cheating is Holyfields at least once a fight headbut
And even then,if the ref didnt see it,werent cheating

Those are ALSO cheating.

When you hold excessively you get warned, and then you should lose points.

A warning aint a point deduction

Understood, however if you continue to excesively hold AFTER you get warned
you should lose points.
