Default < Anyone seen 'His Story So Far: Amir Khan' (documentary) >

I just finished watching this documentary on Amir, really good documentary and it shows Amir from the Olympics up until today.
I will say I was glued to my notebook and didn't even blink....

I actually like the lad, hes well rounded and hes just a kid like the rest of his mates. He jokes around and talks about things that other kids talk about. (For the record I had to rewind the video several times to try and understand what he was saying cause he was taling so fwocken fast )

His pops just seems like a happy ol' man whos proud of his youngin' and is there for the best interest of his kid.
Question: Does his dad know what hes doing? I know Amirs got a manager but his dad is also mixed in there?
Just curious if anyone knows his dads role in his team.

His trainer Oliver Harrison, I know he also trains M'baye ( ) how good of a trainer is Oliver?
Has he trained any previous Champs? What's his story?

Who the fwock is Paddy McGuiness and why did he get so much camera time in the documentary with Amir? I just didn't understand who he was..
He must be good friends with Amir or something? Anyone know?

And last anyone else seen this and what are your thoughts?

HeyCutMeMick, for showing some love to one our British prospects. I'm not sure how good a trainer Oliver Harrison, I know he trains Jamie Moore who is a pretty good domestic level fighter along with Khan.

It seems that him and Khan bond well at least and I guess that's more important than anything right now. Even Amir himself was talking about going to train with Frddy Roach at some time in the future though so it seems that Harrison isn't seen as the man to take Khan all the way.

Patrick McGuiness is a comedian, a star of Pheonix Nights with Peter Kay. Not sure what he has to do with Amir, guessing they are just mates in the same way Ricky Hatton was good mates with Bernard Manning.

Thanks for the post Mick. cc

Firstly his Father im not to sure if he has a role other than his pops to be honest, he hasnt got any boxing background, i no sent Amir to the gym when he was a young kid to keep him on the straight and narrow.
Secondly his trainer Oliver Harrison is really quite a new trainer and is other main man in the camp is the Junior Middleweight British Champion Jamie Moore who is a fighter which you probably already know Mick knowing your knowledge.
Finally Paddy McGuiness is a famous comedian in the UK and is from the same area of the country as Amir Bolton. Hope that helped .

    CC#1039 on me Bilbs,
Well what can I say the doc. was interesting and well put together.
Yeah! I knew about Moore but just wanted to see if anyone knew his style of training. Aside from the M'baye style

McGuigan was the one who told him about going to Freddys Gym to train on his inside fighting. (He better watchout for loud mouf' Toney)
Amir did say he would like to go to Freddys gym to train.

I thought I heard something about his pops being involved in his managing
I just thought he had some saying in what Amir does and doesn't do.

I know about Moore, but I'm looking to see what style Oliver teaches agressive, defensive. I know in the doc. he speaks a lot about conditioning and getting him started on the inside fighting.

ITV must of been shitting themselves. Couple of more punches, "His story so far" wouldn't of looked to clever.

You gotta give the kid some credit tho, I mean hes been down before hes gotten up and fought back.
The defintely needs to realize he can't half ass fights, like when he admitedly said he stood up late and thought he'd be good for the fight and he got dropped (I forget which fight that was) in professional boxing in World Class you don't come in 100% and ready your better not coming in at all.
    Hopefully he's learned his lesson.

Ive got nothing against him. I hope he goes alot further than where he's at now. He's got the talent and even showed great heart but I can't get away from the fact he's as chinny as fuck.

However anyone wants to spin it the Limond fight wasn't meant to go down like that.
