Default Hatton Mayweather is ON!!! DEC 8th...Nearly..

    http://www.boxingscene.com/index.php?m=show&id=9690

Check this :- its practically done, this is one of many sites publishing this..Golden Boy may be promoting it also! Obviously we know in boxing it isn't a done deal until its a done deal but it sounds like it's just a formality now.
Can't wait to go over to Vegas and see Mayweather in action!!! This is good news!

I give credit to Hatton for being willing to take this fight, since I think he'll be lucky to win more than a round or two.

Is this at 147? If it is...it's going to get ugly for Hatton.

Finally Floyd will be able to shut Fatton up once and for all, here in the uk people think ricky hatton is the dogs back wheels (maybe its because i'm from Manchester) when he is still relatively unproven, mayweather will school his a** no probs and if its in Vegas that holding shyte wont be tolerated, at least i hope not, ricky ll get 3 rounds at the most if hes lucky. Mayweather ll win by UD (hope goldenboy are promoting it they usually put up a solid undercard)

Which begs the question, you're a huge PBF fan right,so how much credit do you give him for the win? How about if Hatton wins more rounds than that? Just wondering.

Personally,I give Floyd alot of credit for taking this fight. I keep going backwards and forwards on how I think Hatton will do but either way,the result is always the same,Floyd UD.

I think it sounds like a great fight on paper but will Hatton's holding work on Floyd? I think Floyd has some bad habits like drifting to the ropes sometime and waiting for the opponent to make the first move, this could play into Hatton's hands. It could turn out real 1 sided or really sloppy. I hope not,I'm looking forward to a great fight.

I would've preferred Mayweather-Mosley, but I can live with this fight. But beating Hatton won't prove that much IMO, since I fully expect Floyd to win easily.

If Floyd wins, he MUST fight the winner of Mosley-Cotto. There's no getting around that. That will be the biggest payday out there, the fight the fans will want to see, etc.

yeah floyd wins this (not gonna be easy) and moves on to either mosely or cotto and than we have no choice to giv him his props, unless ofcourse he loses

If the ref allows Hatton to fight ugly, he could give Floyd some problems and possibly pull off the upset. If the ref won't tolerate some rough-housing, it could be a shut out.

I would love for Hatton to punish Floyd and pull the upset...but it ain't happening. Too much skill, speed, and stamina. And to be honest...i think Floyd will have the big strength advantage too. Hatton's frame was already a bit on the smallish side at 140 and Floyd seems to have settled in at around the 147-150 weight comfortably now. I think the trash talking will bring out a mean streak in Floyd and he will really try and punish Ricky. But i hope i am pleasantly surprised and it will be competitive.

i totally agree this fight wont do anything for Floyds legacy as Hatton isnt a big enough name, mosely also wont add that much to floyds legacy as mosley is getting on a bit, i think mayweather should fight cotto he is a real challenge for floyd as he can cut the ring off effectively and i a respected fighter
