How bads the black eye and what was your coach doing giving you heavy sparring 2 days before a bout?
Should be OK, they let one of our lads fight with a broken nose he got in a bout a week before hand. Is it swollen or just bruised? in 2 days time it'll probably still be there because its trapped blood but it will be superficial.
it wasnt heavy at all it was just a move around lol i walked in2 a left hook and its swollen quite bad but i'm not sure wat i should do now?
Run some arnacha (I think thats how its spelled) on it and don't touch it and hope for the best.
On fight night don't worry about it... you'll get stressed when you should preparing your mind to fight... if you get in you get in, if you don't, you don't.
cheers buddy now all i have to do now is win![]()
it seems like a tough fight goin on his backdoor and him weighin 13 stone 3 lol but ive trained for everyday of these hols in 3 minuite rounds so i feel fit enough for it just a shame boat the eye
You'll be fine, I fought a lad at his home show in a massive sports center (temple park in south sheilds) must of had about 30 people there just for him and because he was local the crowd where with him any way. I weighed in a pound or two lighter than he did and knocked him out with my firs shot...![]()
lol you know the first 30 secs of the fight shud i took in very tight or play his most probable game goin mad
Size him up at teh weigh in, try nd figure out how he's going to fight. Get a gameplan and tri to be aware of what if working against him. Yeah, you want to defend but you don't want to defend to a point where it gets stopped (refs can play it very safe) or you let him get to far ahead.
Be first with your shots just don't go nuts. once you feel you are ahead on points make him come to you. both times I've lost its been because I;ve pushed the fight 100% of every round and gotten caught coming in when I could of sat back and done the same. Its not nice loosing on 1 punch like I have... esspecially seeing as how subjective judging can be. keep working and keep a level head.
Wasn't scared for my first but I was so hyped and up for it I just walked forwards trying to catch his body with this right hook I;ve developed... bad game plan to start with but when he was on teh back foot... I didn't adapt my game plan and I didn't even notice he was a south paw till they last round (my brothers a south paw... spar him all the time so my trainer asumed I'd noticed)
cheers for the advice ill try and use it on thur ill post you on how i get on on friday![]()
good stuffjust treat it as a learning experience no matter what happens. I've had 5 bouts so far, probably ment to of had about 10... mental preperation during the day and weigh in etc is something you learn from experience.
You been to a show before? it definetly helps.
depens if your a child ( meaning under 17 )
to go to a boxing show? normally your club will take you to one. Plenty of juniors from my club went just to support the lands this season.
the fight is 2nite![]()
