Sorry, the guys supposed to be a slugger,he's throwing nothing but headshot, that are landing,he has the guy hurt in every round after the 7th,and he cant finish him off
Id worry if I was a Berto backer

Both Berto brothers Andre and Edson hit the canvas in 1 night.
Edson got KTFO by Noon with the vicious knee strike in the face.

Completely agree here, I think some people are being a bit too much on this fight.Originally Posted by El Gamo
I will say he didn't look as impressive as he has looked on other nights. Last night hes defense was a bit sloppy and he appeared to gas out in the 7th rd were he took a break and also in the 10th were he got hit with a lot of punches.....
He did however win convincingly and was very close to having the ref. jump in and stop the fight. Many times the ref. appeared to be stoping the fight cause he would look closely at Rivera.
Not only the count but did you see that all the time he got when they were taping his glove?Originally Posted by Danny_G
What a crock of shit! that ref. did a piss poor job in that fight IMO.....
I wanna see Berto vs. Julio....![]()

Julios learned that you can't blast everyone out, I'm not sure if Berto has learned that yet.
I think Berto comes in and just man handles Julio early on, Julio weathers the storm and begins to keep Berto off with his jab and begins to land his mone shot the straight righ hand. Julios punches are more straight and IMO he would make contact with Berto 1st, Berto has the looping punches and IMO would get caught with Julios straight right hand.
I think Julio stops Berto late rds. or UD. But I would def. favor Julio....
Everybody whose views I respect seems to think more highly of Julio than I do. I don't see much thereOriginally Posted by CutMeMick
Maybe its just me.
He's got a bit of power but I don't see much in speed, footwork, punching technique, just skills in general.
I think the only thing Julio's got in his favor is experience but not by that much. I think Berto would be too fast for Julio, and stop him mid to late.

I have to be honest I agree with you, I don't really see much in either of them. Which Peterson brother is it that is the slick boxer? Well either Lamont or Anthony, whichever one isn't the puncher. Imo he'll go further than both Julio and Berto as will the other two Andres'.Originally Posted by OumaFan
I don't really see Berto or Julio doing anything at welterweight to be honest. Guys like Mosely and Floyd, probably Zab and maybe Collazo and Quintana are all too slick. Williams I think would just completely overwhelm them and Margarito, Cotto and Cintron knocks them both out.
I don't see either getting any further than Miranda really.
Have to agree with you there. Not because of the fact Zab beat Rivera the way he did but that sneaky uppercut that you mentioned and that.Originally Posted by Danny_G
Berto is offensive minded and he reminds me of Shane Mosley a little, the coming back Shane mosley before the Vargas fight.
When all Shane would do is double pump that jab and lead a right hand behind it and sometimes come over with hooks and etc. But he needs to work on his defense. Berto looks great until someone can take his punches. What I don't like is I saw no plan B from Berto, he won the fight but be made it more difficult not switching up, he should have said to himself "Alright I need a sledgehammer to dent this guy's chin, lets try the body"
Berto isn't ready for the top guys right now, he was everyone's top prospect but Bravo and Rivera are two completely different fighters.
I think I would like to see Berto and Julio fight next
He was always a headhunter, its just that everyone usually fell down.Originally Posted by OumaFan

I'd like to see either in with Alfonso Gomez, personally I think he has a good chance at upsetting both of them. Would be close either way I think.Originally Posted by Majesty
I think Berto has something of a chance, but I don't give Julio a chance. I think Berto's a more skilled guy than Miranda. I never really bought into the hype on Miranda although if I remember right you thought even less of him so guess you were right.Originally Posted by Bilbo
But all those names right now beat Berto. Who knows, in a year or two he might be able to beat a Quintana or Collazo. But not sure about that. Julio, I just don't see much of a future really for him.

anyone have video? I miss it i heard he got dropped by rivera though, I wanna see how it happen.
i think he did good, he won the fight easily he just faught a guy with ten times more exprince than him and a guy who was standin through all the punushment, it was a learning expirince, and i dont think he got tired in round 9 he was just toyin with estrada
