Not sure what Ricky's selling power is in the U.S. I'm still not convinced he's that much of a draw. Mayweather wasn't but after De La Hoya fight, he is pretty mainstream now. I guess we will see just how much his stock has gone up since that fight on Dec 8th.
It will do really well here in the U.K i'm guessing
in the U.S i'm predicting maybe 800,000-1mil. I wouldn't be surprised if it was less though. Judah/Cotto was only 200,000 and i'm guessing Cotto's the bigger name in America?
.....tons, not as many as pbf-odh though. Belive it or not i've had people here in my office ask me who the hell ricky hatton is.

There's a chance it could get those massive numbers...
if Oscar is subbed in at the last minute.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
i think judah should be the ref and oscar work rickys corner, and gatti be his cutman, than it will do good numbersOriginally Posted by Fenster
Not sure after him beating Dela Hoya im sure his ppv numbers have gone up a few hundred thousands.
Id say between 500-750.
I think it could do upwards of 1 mil. It would be great if HBO did another 24-7 miniseries on both these guys, as I'm sure they've learned that was a big help in the last fight as far as sales go.
400-600 thousand. I doubt Floyd's stock has gone up that much from the ODH fight, since I don't think most non-hardcore fans (the 500,000 PPV-buyers who hadn't heard of any fighters besides ODH, Trinidad, Tyson and Ali) enjoyed the fight, or Mayweather's technical style. And Hatton's simply not a PPV name in the U.S.
I think it's quite possible that Mosley-Cotto does better numbers than this fight, which will only hurt Floyd at the bargaining table with the winner of that fight.
I'd say around 450K-550K in the U.S. I can't see this fight doing much more than that but you never know. If GBP is invloved in the promotion they might throw a lot of cash into promoting it similar to FMJ/ODH. I am curious to know how much they spent on promoting that fight? I swear everywhere I looked I saw the hype.![]()
I know everything about nothing!
I think this could make $6m at the box office, and a million buys in the US, especially if they do something similar to 24/7. I reckon it could do 250,000 Sky box office buys too.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!

It's basically unheard of for a non-Oscar, non-Tyson fight to do more than 600,000 buys.
With too much competitions in his weight class, I think his p4p status and mega-buck PPV event is almost over.
Somebody out there drolling to take his spot.

I think 500K is about right and I would not be supprised if it did far worst. This fight won't brake one mil, no chance.
I honestly believe that what drew so many people to see DLH - PBF was not just DLH but mostly the high probability (at the time) that Floyd might get his a$$ KTFO. This fight is not considered that big of a risk for Floyd and the outcome is pretty much a foregone conclusion.
