I like him but not really a huge fan. I think he has gotten too corporate, but good for him. It is nice seeing a boxer being able to do something besides smash in somebody else's face. From what I have read and heard most Americans with Mexican heritage have a harder time being accepted by the Mexican fans because they are not familar with or can not relate to Mexican Mexican's. For some reason there is a grudge against them for growing up in America. Personally, I can somewhat relate. I grew up with my Mexican mother and her parents. My mothers family were the only Mexicans that I grew up around. And they were plenty Americanized as I was growing up. If you were to see me, Mexican would not be the nationality you would think that I am. So I have always felt that I was not a part of that culture.
