    Default Going to a fight...alone?

First off let me start by saying I have never been to a big fight before.

Im wondering for those who have, is going to a fight something that you would only do with a friend or someone else with you?

Reason, I really want to go to the Mayweather/Hatton fight. If I go though, I want to go all out, I dont want to have to watch the fight with binoculars. I don't have any friends that would be willing to put down that much money to watch a fight.

So I ask you, shoudl I go to this fight alone, or is it something best experienced with a pal?

Mate im going where you from? There will be loads of Brits ( i presume your a brit) who will be there, or even drop the guys on the Hatton forum a line im sure you can tag along with them, there all sound enough guys, but if you travel alone dont worry you will not be alone when your out there.

I go alone quite often (well i'm using at ringside alone with my 'Tog' flying around the ring taking pics) if i'm doing a review and to be honest you don't really get time for a chat if your doing so.
There's gonna be a sh*tload of people from the Hatton forum as well as here so just find where the meet is and get chatting.
Like Skel said they're all sound fellas and girls who make the effort and like a weekends worth of Beer, casinos and strippers so you can't really go wrong.

I'm hoping to go. Once in a lifetime experience to go watch Hatton in Vegas if you've never been before. If my mate can't afford it, that won't deter me from going

I've done both and either is ok. What I don't like is going to a fight with people who aren't real boxing fans.

Man just go,I would go with somebody and sit a few rows back . Its awesome if you can afford to get close. I will go with you if you loan me the cash LOL.

I just cant wait to see all the Brits again, they rocked the house last time so I cant imagine what this is going to be like. Man If Ricky KOs PPF its going to be off the hook in that place. That would be sweet.

How much are the cheap seats ?? I might go to that thing myself.

That's the worst of all...for the big fight card in Cardiff which was due to be Calzaghe v Johnson I went with a big group of mates, and it was due to be a bit of a drinking session and watch some fighting from the cheap seats. As it happens, for boxing the stewards got arsey and wouldn't let us take beer to the seats (despite the fact that if I'm watching the rugby...taking four beers to the seats are fine.) and because we couldn't get to the seats, most of my mates spent most of the time in the aisle outside looking through to try and see what was going on.

And then they get in and ask what's going on. If they'd have sat there they'd know. I don't mind if a stranger asks me, but there's one guy who bugs the hell out of me, and when he asked it just pissed me off so much.

I go to the boxing mainly to watch the boxing, and if you go with someone who mainly wants the drinking, it's going to end up in trouble.

I would take a friend. I'd never travel alone in a foreign country.

I've had it worse than that mate...only with football and not boxing. One of my friends is gay which I'm ok with. But one time, I'm sat watching United and Carrick scored. I was doing my usual "fucking get in" when my friend turns to me and tells me that Carrick has fantastic nipples. Completely fucking ruined it for me.

Well....just make sure you don't bring him to the Calzaghe v Kessler fight....a comment on how lovely Joe's eyes are as he KOs Kessler would be bang out of order.
