    Amazed even then Shane was considered old and look at what he has done to Marg.

    This Shane Mosley is the same Mosley that fought Vargas, Mayorga, Floyd and Mora.

    He looks a lot better againts Colazo and of course againts tailor made Margarito.

    ===

    ::: IN order :::

    1. From January 2009 to April 2010 Mosley was the number ONE Welterweight ( as 90% of the FORUMS proclaimed )

    2. Former and to some still p4p King Floyd shuts him down in 12

    3. Got a draw againts Mora ( Many thought he won). THe same Mora the beat Forrest that beat Mosley twice. ( Styles, rangy fighters )

    4. Now Shane Mosley is Garbage and must not be considered as a rated Weterweight

    The 2nd fight, Vargas was completely shot

    This I dont understand at all If Vargas was dominating the 2nd half of their 1st fight and was gonna KO Shane, then how how could Vargas be completely shot when he fought Shane in an immediate rematch I dont quite understand your logic

    How can you say Colazzo is overrated he is a young hungry top 147 fighter and a slick south paw with good skills. Its like your trying to do damage control for Shane losing... Believe me Cotto is not gonna beat Mosely! So its not necessary

    Nobody is doing damage control. I still see Mosley winning by a decision against Cotto.

    I was just posting this for discussion.

    Anybody who says that Vargas looked the same in the 2nd fight as he did in the first needs to have their head examined. Vargas was still a solid contender at the end of their first fight, but as of the 2nd, everyone said he's washed up real bad and needs to retire.

    And yes...............

    I don't think much of Collazo other than he caught Hatton on the worst night of Hatton's career.

    Well call the doctor and schedule my examination, because I dont follow how if Vargas didnt fight in between the rematch how could he have fallen off the table even worse Dosent make sense to me.

    Well do you remember that Vargas never wanted the rematch and only did it for the money?

    The first time they fought, Vargas WANTED to fight.

    The second time they fought, Vargas went on record saying he didn't want a rematch but ended up doing it for the money.

    Mayweather avoiding Shane ?? you can't win with some people if Mayweather was fighting Mosley you would say Mayweather was ducking Hatton im sure if Mosley wins his fight vs Cotto that he will get his shot.
    I think people believe Floyd should be fighting every month. It's bollocks. I'm not a Floyd fan but he's hardly ducking people. As for Mosley, he's a great fighter, but I believe Cotto will take him. Great fight though, glad it's being made.

    i'm one of mayweather's biggest supporters and even i know he's ducking shane...i could care less if he beats hatton, because hatton is nothing more than a strong version of gatti and floyd won't get much credit for taking him to school like gatti...hatton will miss a lot of leaping left hooks and eat leather all night long...shane has and always will be the one with realistic chance of beating mayweather...at 147 shane beats floyd easily with his work rate alone..floyd can't win he he doesn't punch and his work rate isn't that high at 147 and he's great but he stand in the pocket and make shane miss..if shane connects it will show weather floyd can bang with a true boxer-puncher....
    Thats total rubbish Hatton is way above Gatti in class Hatton beat top world class fighters Gatti never did and i think its bit early to say Mayweather is ducking Mosley if Mosley beats Cotto i gurantee you Mosley will get his shot because Cotto and Mosley are both deserving so let them fight eachother to see who really is the proper one to fight Mayweather.

    shane beats floyd easily with his work rate alone..

    Floyd has never struggled with workrate.

    Well put. CC

    The word "prime" gets tossed around on here a lot. For many, it seems like prime=height of physical abilities. In some cases, that might be true. But when a great fighter loses a step physically, often he learns to compensate in the thinking end of the fight game. SSM is a good example of a very intelligent fighter who is not quite as young as he once was, but who's still very capable in the ring. I think he's not so far gone that he can't make adjustments and give Cotto one hell of a fight.

    I wouldn't be surprised to see this match go to either fighter - SSM on skill and experience, or Cotto on tenacity and aggression.

    Unless Shane has really gotten out of his groove, I just can't see Cotto beating him. I see his face looking as bad as Vargas' by the 6th or 7th round, and think Shane will redefine the term hitting from angles. In a way I want Mosley to win because I really want him and Floyd to fight, but on the other hand I'd like to see Cotto take it and maybe become the new young lion in the division.

    Mosley showed in the Collazo fight that he's still a great fighter. Cotto will be a tougher assignment than Collazo. But I still lean towards Mosley on points.
