Kind of, but whereas in the welterweight division a record of 16-7 would see you as a journeyman fighting 8 rounders on the undercard of a Peter Manfredo fight a 16-7 record at flyweight can see you as champion of Malaysia or something. Just check the records of some of these little men, and you notice two things, one they routinely fight domestic rivals two or three times as it's hard to find competition, and two you are ranked well within the top 10 of your country as soon as you turn pro. The UK's smallest fighter Ian Napa at 5 ft 1 in actually campaigns at bantamweight as there are no UK boxers at all in the four divisions below him. He has a record of 14-6 which at any higher weight would be pretty mediocre yet he's the current British Bantamweight champion and has had losing bids for the European title, the Commonwealth title, a previous British title shot and has fought for the WBU title.Originally Posted by 'Big' Dan McCarthy
