I never really liked Hamed for his big mouth , but Marco just takes him to school and shows what a great fighter he is , and has an ability to adapt his style for different opponents. This is something Hamed could not do , he had no plan B , i did find it very watchable as it shows a fighter with a sound technique will triumph over a LIMBO DANCER WITH POWER every time
I just wish it had been PACMAN catching Hamed
But anyway you guys tell me your views please

Personally MAB being one of my all time favourite fighters was fighting a unmotivated untrained shadow of his former self in Prince Nazeem Hamed, im not taking anything away from MAB, but the Naz in the ring that night was not the best of him far from it, he was slow predictable and was only throwing single punches. Just my take on it.
Thats just plain WRONG. How could naz not be motivated for the biggest fight of his life? The reason he wasnt at his best was because Barrera wouldnt let him be at his best, and was giving him a pasting. Face it, that was the best naz ever got, and when he fought a top line opponent he got beaten. That is the Truth.
You are taking away from MAB.
    Agreed.

    Naz said to himself,
"I trained my *ss off and did the best I can, and I still got my *rse kicked... I need to get out of this profession!!!"
I guess you guys never saw the docu-film then

Never mind what Naz SAYS, he was in poor form through out camp

Naz gave a dismal account of himslef against MAB... even agsaint Kelly. He had so much more potential and for a while he showed it then lost it through sheer ignorance and arrogance.
MAB stopped Naz's attack because of the jab no one had ever used good jab against Naz and it was able to keep Naz off balance because Naz's balance was very poor in my eyes.
Kelley did a good job of beating nas to the jab for 3 rounds but he got over anxious and got carried away . Barrera was determined never to let Nas into the fight so even when he had him hurt he would just stick to his boxing and it worked perfectly .

    Woa!

Its only an excuse as to why he performed so poorly. Naz could of been a lot better and its evident if you look at how he behaved outside the ring.

I agree, but that just explains the mentality of the bloke (complete tosser). Nothing to do with his talent as a KO artist.

Hamed didn't train at all for this fight and was even beat around by his sparring partners, he did. He deserved to lose. You don't half your training for a living legend like Barerra. The only person he can blame is himself

Really shows the lack of heart from Naz aswell because he didn't even really try and get a rematch or ect Barrera was battered by Junior Jones and he comeback twice as strong it was only one loss Naz had i would have respected Naz alot more had he taken rematch against Barrera or even against one of the top boys even if he would of lost i would of respected him more.

I don't know why he didn't have a rematch with MAB (broken spirit?). He could have bounced back and KO MAB twice (trilogy). He was more powerful and faster than MAB. It was the skill that got him.

Naz believed that he did his best against Barrera but failed. He could not think anymore of other ways to beat Barrera so he'd rather retire. The guy wants to be the best. With Barrera around he just can't be the best.

It doesn't show a lack of heart, look at someone like Trinidad.

Trinidad had fought a lot more top guys than naz, and had a much greater legacy. He had moved up 13 pounds in weight from his best division. Stupid comparison.

I am concerned with how trinidad is being described and perceived by some boxing writers (historians). I love the guy but the controversy regarding his knock out power seems to weaken his credibility as a true champ.

Exactly. There were so many good fights he could have made. Naz had all the talent in the world but he was front runner with lousy fundamentals. Exciting but stupid fighter. On Naz's best night, he still gets owned by Barrera, though it would have been a closer fight instead of a shutout.

Hamed's style and power can take you only so far , a fellow top fighter with a conventional style like Marco beats you everytime.
It was satifiying for me as Hamed was such an arrogant prick

You are a disrespectful little shit.

Barrera put in a fantastic performance and Naseem didnt have a shot of beating a Barrera as concise and efficient as that. And you have the gall to say he could have comeback and knocked out Barrera twice?

Maybe that was a bit harsh. But you know you deserve it.
