Sorry mick, after "babying" his ankle injury, he lost his momentum in the US. Now that rugby guy who had a tooth lodged in his skull for months without paying any attention to it is a total badass and would be a lot more marketable to the US.

Yes beckham has brought interest to the sport that it hasn't seen in the US ever but as of right now he's just another high profile highly skilled american (wasn't born in the US but then again a far share of other "american" sports stars aren't either) sports athlete who's injury is making more headlines than his play (ala TO except minus the self-hyping). He's gonna have to wait until this injury heals before he can be seen in a positive light. Being paid 250mil isn't helping him here either.
