Penalosa wants to fight De leon

Backwards step? Not so sure. As far as him getting some good wins he just beat Jhonny Gonzalez, Ponce doesn't have a better win than that, period.

I've been a bit shocked by Penalosa actually, I didn't think he had enough left to do what he's done in the last two fights against Ponce and Gonzalez. Even if you think Ponce won the Penalosa fight it was a close fight and the scores were clearly fucked. I wouldn't mind a rematch at all and full credit to Ponce if he goes to the Phillipines to do it.

Well he has already beaten him and although it was close he still did get the nod. If he wants to go the phillpeans to fight him than i do feel he will have to knock gerry out because the crowd/judges will not be with him. I just feel Daniel should try and push a re-match with caballero or try and fight the winner of vasquez-marquez IMO thats were the money will be for him and thats what will push him to be the best. I think gerry in the phillpeans is not the best choice he could make.

If it doesn't come off I wouldn't mind seeing Penalosa in against somebody like Luis Perez. Hasegawa's probably just too fast for him but him and Perez would be a good fight.
