I tried to score the fight impartially when I watched it the 2nd time (courtesy of El Gamo) and had JLC winning by a round.

The big controversy was with the lopsided scoring in Mayweather's favor, not so much that JLC won the fight cause it was real close.

A "robbery," would be more along the lines of the Dimitrus Hopkins vs. Steve Forbes fight or even Julio Cesar Chavez being awarded a draw vs. Pernell Whitaker when Whitaker clearly won the fight.

It was not the worst decision I have ever seen but IMO Castillo won the fight....I had him up by 2 rds....Also it depends I guess on how you score a fight.....He was the underdog...He was in Floyds face...He brought Floyd to the limit....Pushed the action....backed Floyd up at times....But you know the old expression....You hve to convincingly beat the champion.....So I guess in the eyes of the judges was not enough

I had JLC winning it by 2,I have seen the fight about 6 or 7 times. I actually enjoyed it! However,as much as I hate to admit it,I agree with FrozenSolid,it was not a robbery. It was a close fight and Mayweather did the right thing by giving JLC a rematch, which again was close but which he won.

I think most people(including myself at times, depending on my mood) tend to wish that JLC had won so over play the fact that the fight was close, making it seem like a robbery. I do feel for JLC though,he was the better fighter that night and that is the best anyone has done v Floyd and I include Oscar in that.

Whole fight is on youtube why not go and watch it anyway i had Castillo 1 up but there could be a case made either way Castillo landed more but Mayweather landed cleaner punches in rematch though he easily won i had Mayweather ahead 3 rounds in the rematch.

Very close fight in which an argument could be made for either fighter depending on how your score the fight. I think Mayweather said he had a shoulder injury. The second time he had no injury and clearly won.

This is probably one of the reasons why there is some doubts on Mayweather being number one. He can't always convince everybody that he has won the fight. Pacquaio, on the other hand, had won his fights convincingly against Morales, MAB, Solis,Ledwaba, etc. Mayweather is very skilled but not very convincing. I love to watch his fights though.

The reason that's a ludicrous statement is the fact that Pacquaio has flat out lost before, more than once. At worst, even if Floyd would have lost the decision in this fight, how would that place Manny above him, considering he also has lost? Not to mention there was no rematch clause in that fight and Floyd immediately gave Castillo a rematch and beat him undisputedly.

Please research well on the statement in bold and italics above. About those Pacquaio's losses before commenting on those losses.Thank you in advance for doing my suggested research.

The judging was terrible. In the first fight, I had Floyd winning by a round, but the scorecards had Flody winning by a mile. In the second fight, I thought Floyd won much more convicingly, yet the scorecards were much closer than the first time.
