I have to agree about that...What does balance it out though is the fact he was considered shot....Then came back again,,,,,,so that adds to it.....IMO anyway

I gotta believe he has to break into the top 5 PFP all time greats list if he wins
Sorry JT im massive Holyfield fan and beating Ibrigamov would be good achievement considering his age but top 5 p4p of all time are you serious bro ?? unless i have misunderstood ??
His achievements at Cruiser and Heavyweight in his prime were something of legend now factor in at 45 regaining a piece of the Heavyweight title is something special.... Look at Holyfield at 45. Forget the steroids speculation... The guy is as finely tuned an athlete that there is competing today and thats in any weight class. Sure he has 8 losses but take a guy like Duran who has 16 losses and is considered by many top alltime PFP, I concede Duran spread his legacy out thru a myriad weight classes, but to take a guy like Holy that had accompolished great feats at Cruiser and then to go on and have memorable and remarkable wins at Heavy garners special consideration as far as a big man being considered all time PFP status
Difference is Duran had over 100 fights and i don't consider Duran top 5 anyway but Holyfields best wins are.

Mike Tyson
Michael Moorer
Old Larry Holmes
Old George Foreman

Riddick Bowe but i count this as a loss because he lost the trilogy
Dwight Muhammad Qawi
James Douglas
Bert Cooper
Ray Mercer

These names don't make you top 5 p4p no way should Holyfield be that high Foreman wasn't when he won title at 45 yet he had better wins and better record than Holyfield im not trying to diss Holyfield i admire the guy and always enjoy his fights but i disagree totally with top 5 p4p of all time thats bit extreme imo.

But if we are just talking Heavyweights then thats a different story i would have him just outside the top 5 all time Heavyweights.

Now if he would of beaten those guys i just put in bold in there prime then that would of been a different story

Top 5 of all time is a bit extreme that I agree with.....

As far as his list of opp and those guys being past their prime ect...he put who was in front of him...won some lost some but always put on a great performance and never lost as a quitter.....

He fought some guys past their best but also went in as the smaller man.....Like I said about X's comment....It balanced out.....yes those guys were past their best but also he overcame size....

all in all I will put him 5 or 6 as all time HW....as for P4P of all time he is no where near the top 10...I don't even put him in top 20
