Default After Mosley disposes of Cotto......................

is everybody gonna turn around and say that Mayweather has been ducking Mosley for the past few years in spite of the fact that it was Floyd always trying to make that fight happen?

Mosley always had a different excuse like "I'm going on vacation with my wife," or the classic "I've got a toothache."

The reason I bring this up is because after Paul Williams disposed of the journeyman Margarito, there's all these people making posts on here saying that Williams is the man to beat Mayweather. When before Williams even fought Margarito these same people were saying that Williams was just a prospect.

I lump the Cotto and Margarito fans together because 95% of them are bandwagoners. There were tons of Margarito fans on here about a year ago (there are very few now)but they have since jumped over to the Cotto bandwagon.

What are the haters gonna say when Mosley beats up on Cotto? Unfortunatly for them, they might actually be silenced (unless they jump over to Cintron and say that Mayweather has been ducking him this whole time)

I think after Mosely beats Cotto, Mayweather and Mosely will fight, and Mayweather will retire. He does that, nobody can say a damn word. If Cotto wins, I think Mayweather definately fight Cotto, then retire. Mosley is a much more dangerous fight for PBF than Cotto. I bet Floyd is hoping hard that Cotto pulls it off against Shane.

I agree, and I should also add that if by some miracle Cotto does beat Mosley and Mayweather refuses to fight Cotto, I will be the first person to say that Mayweather is ducking Cotto.

I'll be right there with you. Remember Mayweather's "Beat two big-name fighters" rule if you want a legit claim to fight him? We'll, Cotto has one and a half (Judah and Maglinaggi). If Cotto adds Mosely to his resume, Mayweather will have to fight him or he will look like a big punk. But it won't matter anyway. Hatton is gonna upset Floyd, and Mosely is going to spark Cotto. The we'll have rematches and by the time we're done with those, Mosely will probably have gotten old.

I'm proud to say I'm one of the 5%ers and I still think Margarito would beat floyd before Williams could. I still think Williams needs a couple more fights even though the fight with Margarito was impressive.

I also think Williams would fair better than Cotto would. Come on, over 6' with a huge reach advantage and throws over 100 punches per round every round. floyd will be sure to be loooooong gone before Williams is ready. Also, I just see mayweather getting to Cotto's chin before Cotto's power gets to floyd's chin.

If floyd gets past Hatton and Shane gets by Cotto but Shane doesn't take a fight with floyd, then it's up to floyd to fight the next best challenge (not challenger or money fight) and win before becoming legit in my mind.

Perhaps the winner of Judah vs. Margarito (assuming it happens *Judah by KO over Margarito*)

or maybe Cintron could fight Williams (Williams on points over Cintron)

A Zab Judah rematch would be the least attractive of these scenarios, imo. But all the other ones would be pretty good matchups

Truthfully, I thought Judah had the best chance against floyd years ago but was ruined by the Tsyzu fight. Cintron I'm not sure about. The thing that caused him to self destruct in the Margarito fight was the fact that he kept getting hit. I don't think I'd be going out on a limb by saying floyd would hit him a hell-uv-alot more. Cintron needs to prove to me he wouldn't fold again before I'd say he is ready for floyd and a good test would be Williams.

Of the fights you mentioned, the only thing I'd change is I'd like to see a Margarito/Williams rematch rather than Judah. I just think Judah is spent.

I think you're right with many of your comments on this one. I truly think we do have alot of people who jump on bandwagons. I'm not a Hatton fan, I'm not a Mayweather fan, I will watch their fights because I love boxing. I respect MAYWEATHER for his great talent and great fighter that he is, but I don't like the personality he has and the way he disrespects other fighters.
I am a COTTO & MOSLEY fan and I didn't want this fight to happen. As of late, I'm seeing more and more people jump on my boy COTTO's bandwagon. I don't like that. I've been seeing this guy fight before he went pro. I saw him in the olympics. Some people didn't even know who he was maybe until about a year ago. Some people don't know about how close he came to dying in a motorcycle accident several years back. DOCTORS said he would never fight again, within a couple months this guy was back in the ring like if nothing because that is how committed he is to fighting. I remember being one of the few that said COTTO will dominate JUDAH and stop him in the late rounds. People said I was crazy and that there was no possible way that COTTO belonged in the ring with a name like JUDAH. There were alot of people who were going for JUDAH (including you) but you've been one of maybe few who have stuck behind your boy 100%. I like that. I love Mosley to death and he is one of my favorite, but I have to be honest and tell you that this is a dream fight for COTTO. This is a fight he really has been waiting for and remember this, COTTO - MOSLEY will give us a great fight, but I really think we will see an awesome performance from COTTO. I just don't think MOSLEY at 36 will be able to take punches in bunches w/o tiring out. I think if he doesn't use his speed to his advantage in the early rounds, he's going to pay. I really don't think MOSLEY has anything to prove anymore. I think he should've called it quits the night he KO'd Vargas. He made a big mistake in taking this fight with COTTO.

Boxing is in for a big surprise come NOV 10TH. This will be an emotional win for COTTO. He's been waiting for the moment to beat a name like MOSLEY his whole career and on that night, you will see that HEART, DEDICATION AND COMMITTMENT will be the factors to a COTTO victory. Nice post though, agree with you on the bandwagon thing.

Cotto is gonna knock out Mosley In the Collazo fight he was back to the Shane Mosley that's flat footed not using his jab and leading with his back hand that lost to Vernon Forrest And Collazo was hitting him with straights whenever he let his hands go. Cotto hits harder and is more accurate Cotto is going to stop Mosley late Mosley has speed and power but so did Judah and Judah also had younger legs. Mosley is up there in age and I don't think given his style he's going to try to outbox Cotto. He should try to outbox Cotto but it seems like Shane has once again strayed away from his boxing and body punching again. so Cotto is going to beat him, but Shane will go out on his shield.

Yeah, I was one of em

And you know what? I was proved wrong. Simple as.

    Williams is hell for Mayweather.

we'll soon see won't we the Executioner but all I know is that Hatton will give 100% in this fight and h4e is the more hungrier to succeed.

...the world is desperate to see pbf loose simple as that, imo and i've said it before pbf right now is just simply the best there is. I can see how so many people dislike him but it's crazy how some dislike him to the point that his accomplishments and skill in the ring is overlooked. It's just one point of view but i don't think any of the fighters mentioned are any threat to floyd right now, fans grasp to one thing or another with every opponet he faces and it doesn't seem to matter, baldomir is too strong, zab is just as fast, corrales is too tall too much reach, and lord all the stuff we heard about oscar, i'm one person that thinks floyd will eventually loose down the road if he continues to fight but not right now...

For the record I still like Margarito. I also like Cotto and hatton too. Really the only fighters now that I ever want to see lose or retire are Mayweather, ODLH, and BHOP. Other than that I like seeing warriors coming to battle.
