I think what they dont mention is that most of that is technique practice and doing drills that dont wear down the body. They definetly couldnt be going hard for more than 1hour. If they did they would be sacrificing intensity for volume which most the time isnt what you need.

For wrestlers their breakdown from what I know is this-

morning-alternate days of running then stretching or lifting then stretching.

afternoon-technique and drilling

evening-wrestle live or other forms of conditioning
