I agree that the Chavez/Taylor stoppage was the worst call ever. Meldrick was winning a championship fight and deserved the benefit of the doubt to continue the fight. And, I'm not so sure that I buy the excuse of Richard Steele not realizing that the fight was seconds away from ending.

In hindsight, it might have been a good call since Taylor could have been even more seriously hurt by Chavez. But, on the other hand, the mind is a powerful force and maybe he would've recovered better from his injuries knowing that he was the new light welter champion of the world.
