NO, they were average AT BEST... but they were marketed like they were going to be the BIG THREE of pro boxing! Like if Tyson, Evander Holyfield at cruiserweight, Roy Jones Jr. at 168 all got on the same promotional team and fought on the same card all the time.

It was really funny when Williams lost, but it was also sad....their promoter had billed them as Team Cannon an undefeated Trio of fighters and Williams' loss screwed that angle up and he was dropped by the promoter right after his loss but he was eventually picked back up after everyone made fun of that happening and really it was a disgusting thing to do for the promoter.


Team Cannon was a joke really and it was funny while it lasted but obviously with one guy in jail, one getting ready for the Contender, and one approaching his late 30's they really didn't accomplish what they were billed to but I suppose that a lot of fighters in pro boxing but I think it's funnier this way
