Pressure. Effective aggressiveness closes that gap a lot, De La Hoya just had to come forward with jab and pressure to win rounds in his go with Mayweather. It wasn't that he was landing much, he was just negating the offense of Mayweather.

If Hatton can provide consistent pressure, I don't think he is going to KO Mayweather, but he can make it close. Hatton's stamina is key. I fully expect him to win a good chuck of the first 5 rounds, it's what he does after that that is key.
I define talent a lot differently. If your talking about pressure fighting, muscular strength, endurance and power, particularly the left hook to the body, Hatton is more "Talented", or naturally gifted at least.
