As I've always said I love Randy. The guy is awesome and i am pretty high on him at the moment but always have been...not just for his fighting but for his overall persona and being a great role model for kids wanting to take up the sport.
Randy uses GnP and elbows to fantastic effect. lets be honest. he's a better fighter now than he ever was against Barnett (who i know he had trouble with but thought he was doing well until a moment of madness when he got the tables turned on him). Also Barnett was on roids and there was a reason he was stripped. Randy seems to have flourished in his later years. Unbelievable. I think if Barnett and Randy fought now it would be a very different fight.

The thing is with Randy he is so adaptable and can find a weakness in anyones game and then exploit it. I think fighters who come up against him now are worrying more about their own weakness and he exploiting them rather than they explotiting his.

Like Van i think Randy would take this with a UD, or maybe even a stoppage from heavy elbows. Nogs striking is pretty good but he looked off against Herring. Ok he got caught with a kick but something just didin't sit right. And like Van said i think Randy is just too smart to be caught in a sub...either way its a mouth watering fight that i can't wait to happen.
barnett actually was saying he really wants to fight coture after he heard dana white or someone call him unbeatrable after the gonzaga fight, i think barnett could beat him, barnett is ALOT better at striking then he was back in the day and his youth will only give him an advantage on the ground, he is as good a wrestler as coture and a fuckload younger, though coture doesnt seem to ever get tired anyway
