I respect Roger because he obviously has a lot more knowledge about boxing than any of us ever will.

The only thing is, he's so BLATANTLY biased that its hard to take his opinions seriously.

He didn't seem very knowledgable to me when he was talking shit about the late Eddie Futch.

Agreed with you, Dan, Castillo ain't more versatile and Ricky has faster feet and more aggression than DLH. Ricky is also better at punching from old angles. He's also better at clinching
You mean Hatton is good at holding and hitting.

    No, not really.

He outboxed Castillo in the rematch and has improved since then as for Oscar Hatton hasn't got a jab or Oscar's quickness thats what gave Mayweather trouble.

We might aswell say look what happened to Hatton when he fought the first fast fighter in his career aka Collazo but i will let Hatton off for that considering he wern't at his best i was disappointed he didn't give Collazo a rematch though.

It wasn't just Oscar's jab but that he followed it up with pressure via combos - whether they landed or not, it looked good for DLH. When he lost his jab, he also lost all the pressure - but the jab didn't stand alone.

When he quit jabbing, he also made it easy for Floyd to get to him. Big mistake, to quit jabbing.

What Hatton does have is pressure ...

Going to be an interesting fight. Floyd by points is my expectation. Hatton will win 2-4 rounds.

Speed was not Hatton's problem v Collazo. Size was his problem, along with the chin of Collazo (other than the flash knockdown, he took Ricky's shots well). Ricky is faster than Oscar, for sure, at least at this point in Oscar's career. For handspeed, Ricky gets a small edge, for footspeed, Ricky gets a big edge.

I guess I'm a little disappointed he didn't give Collazo a rematch, because he would have won it, and won it clearly (though it wouldn't have been an easy fight). Then people couldn't use that fight (where Ricky won) against him.

Every fighter has their matchup problem. For Ricky, he has problems with strong southpaws. If I were him, I would avoid any southpaw with a size advantage for the rest of my career.
