I've been watching Teddy for years now and all I've ever seen is a fair and unbiased announcer. Sure he touts the attributes of the favored fighter but he is always willing to point out what that fighter is doing wrong as well.
I've seen plenty of his 10-10 rounds but I have never seen an 8-7 round with no knockdowns. You have to admit that didn't really happen. I've also never seen him give a 10 round to a fighter that has been knocked down. I've seen him give 9-8 and 9-7 rounds and I could swear I've also seen him give a 10-6.
As for his yelling, I say keep it up and keep it loud. I don't think any commentator is as impassioned as he is when it comes to boxing. He cares about the fighters and the sport as a whole. I remember when there was this particularly horrible hometown decision that was way out there for a guy that had clearly lost. Teddy was screaming so loud "THIS IS WRONG! THIS IS WRONG!" i could tell he had abandoned any thought of talking into the mic and it sent chills up my spine. It was completely unprofessional and I thought it was going to cost him his job. But anyone who is willing to put himself out there in that way has definitely earned my respect.
I do give it to you on some of his analogies, they have gotten long winded in the past year but it's something I'm willing to overlook for all the good I feel he brings.
I will however, not fight you a bit on Steve Farhood being the worst. He has too many problems to list here.
