That was awesome against Lacy, but it wasnt the Brits who hyped Lacy up and was raving about he was the new Tyson (or something to that effect). Lacy was a very good fighter but inexperienced Calzaghe was good enough to expose this as well as Lacy being one dimensional without the ability to realise he needs to chnge his plan.

JC gets my respect for a good performance but will not be considered a great unless we see him win another 2-3 superfights before he retires.

An old RJJ does not beat JC, when he is being overwhelmed by JC workrate i cant imagine him digging deep and fighting his way out the trenches he will take it for one last payday and just survive.

I'lll never be JC biggest fan but if he can take on the best there is until he retires like a true champ should and make up for the wasted years then i will consider him one of the greatest of his division.
Do you mean old RJJ like the old man, or old Roy like when he was good? Because the good Roy Jones Jr. like the one at SMW would have eaten Calzaghe alive... He was so much faster, so much better, and so much stronger it isn't even funny. EIther than Roy Jones Jr. I can't see anyone in the SMW division who would have beaten Calzaghe. He would is too fast for Benn who has a far weaker chin than Lacy. Maybe Gerald M. would have given him a good fight, but I think Calzaghe is the second best SMW ever now that I've watched more of his fights. That being said after watching Kessler against Lucas I think he is also in the top 5 best SMW I've ever seen.
