I don't see why some people are disagreeing there is no one with similar style of Pacquiao but this is still a good sparring partner who is southpaw and can bang yes he doesn't have Pac's speed or headmovement but there isn't really anyone else so this is good choice for Barrera camp.

I agree ICB. This is kindof like Oscar trying to find a sparring partner to fight Floyd.....you are never going to find someone EXACTLY like them, but the help you out alot, they don't have to be. Edwin is a very good fighter, although flawed. His flaws will not prevent Barrerra from gettting use of him.
BBUUUTT... The only way that Valero gets Barrerra a Win is if Barrerra and Valero are both allowed to fight Pac at the same time..

I might get a public mockery on this , but eventhough Jimrex Jaca has soft chin and doesn't punch like a ton of bricks, I think he can simulate Pac's style better than Valero.


Valero doesn’t have any tactical skills, he's just a f*cking stalker.
Valero doesn’t experience to be hit by numerous hard punches.
Valero doesn’t experience to be hit in the liver, which pac oftenly defended.
Valero has lack of experience on fighting counter punchers.
Valero never faced any elite fighters. Even semi-elite Vicente Mosquera knocked him down.
Valero doesn’t have experience to be cut, while fighting full 12 rounds.

Watching the fights of Valero is like watching Pacquaio when he was still fighting in Blow by Blow (a boxing tv show in the Philippines). Pacquaio was raw then and so is Valero now. But to be honest, Valero is starting to ripen. He has the clumsy style of Pacman and sometimes his speed is beginning to be like the Pacman's.

i guess that didnt work for eric after all. eric looked slower against pac during pac-em 2 and 3. a boxer cant expect to fight a fast fighter and expect to win after sparring exclusively with a slow slugger.

With due respect, it was not that convincing win for Erik. Erik demanded that Manny use gloves that will not hurt him.Clearly, it was against fair play.Plus, Manny was fighting with a bad cut from a headbutt.

Erik was fighting a Pacman with one eye and no hands during that fight.

An honest opinion.SCs are not allowed.

Wrong fight,he was getting tested for blood for this one and didn't have enough blood to fight. And the wrong socks led to blisters

Agreed. Erik fought the one-fisted, one eye Pac. And Pac was right with the gloves issues.
