Saying that Mayweather on the whole is not an exciting fighter is fine.... we all have different opinions on fighters and we're entitled to our opinions.

But saying that every one of his fights is boring, and that the only thing interesting is watching his opponent.... that shows that either:
a. you're just criticizing Mayweather across the board to prove a point
or
b. you haven't watched many Mayweather fights and don't really know what you're talking about

You could have left it at your beginning statement and you'd be dead on right. We all have our opinions. The A and B part of your post are absurd.

Far from absurd.

If you think EVERY one of his fights is boring, than either A or B is true. You're not arguing that Floyd has had several fights that weren't up to some people's entertainment standards.... that would have been a very understandable argument on your part.
You're making a blanket statement about a fighter that he is making you look like someone who either:
a. is exaggerating to make a point
b. hasn't seen enough Floyd fights to have an informed opinion

The fight wasn't competitve or exciting because Mayweather was THAT good. Why fight when u can simply outthink, out manouever and out box an opponent. You dont get paid more for KO's

Not that this is aimed only at you but it is something that has crossed my mind lately. Let's say, for the sake of argument, that anyone could learn to fight like floyd. Would it be a great thing for boxing if everyone fought like him? IMO, no. It would make boxing very dull. He is considered boring for a reason. The only thing interesting about watching him fight is the people fighting him.

Only to ignorant people who know nothing about boxing. To watch him if you know boxing is watching something special.

A. I'm not exaggerating to make a point, it's my opinion (it is also shared with others) and I didn't say it should be everyones opinion. If he is exciting to you then that is your opinion (along with others).

B. I've probably seen over 20 of his fights which is more than half of his career. I've also read over a dozen articles on him. I've listened to sports shows that have discussed his career and I've seen interviews with him as well. I get the feeling this would fit the bill for having seen "enough" of floyd to have an informed opinion.
