    Default blood tests

    Hi

I've got to get a few blood tests done for my yearly boxing medical thingy and I'm wondering when the best time to do it would be. It has to be on a weekday morning (only time the clinic is open).

I'd like to be feeling relatively good on Saturdays anyway because then I have interclub sparring I like want to make the most of.

I'm not sure if I should take the whole day off training or if I'd be right to train in the afternoon if I get them done on a morning? I'm hoping i won't have to worry about it at all the next day but I'm not sure how long it takes for your body to replace the blood?

Maybe I should take an iron supplement for a day or two before and after since I'm female and prone to being slightly low on iron?

    What do other people do?

They only extract a very small amount of blood during testing, not enough to affect your blood sugar levels .. I wouldn't hit the gym right afterwards though since you'll have to have the tests done on an empty stomach anyways.
