I completely disagree with this writer's statement.

In fact, I would argue that Ricky Hatton is the exact OPPOSITE of the type of fighter who can beat Floyd.

There's this old idea that a smothering body attack is what neutralizes speed, and I've always disagreed with it. A jab and reach is what neutralizes speed. And this is why Hatton has very little chance of winning, because he's a short fighter with short arms and no jab.

Hatton will have to chase Mayweather and try to smother him, which leaves Floyd with the opportunity to just back up and counter. That's what Floyd does well, and he'll do it all night.

This guy's argument is all wrong. The style that can beat Floyd is a tall rangy fighter with a strong jab. Ricky Hatton is not a tall rangy fighter with a strong jab.
