Im planning on going down to San Diego for a few months in 2-3 months and training. Hows boxing down there, and is there any place you recommend training? Also hows the weather down there in the winter...

Weather is really nice, Training down here would be better in Tijuana. There are a few Gyms including Erick's Gym or where Margarito trains.
