Benn: Calzaghe far too good for Brit/Euro

There are a lot of fighters on Joe's record that are worthy opponents & people just trash them because they don't know who they are or what they were capable of prior to Joe handling them.

As far as Jones' record goes...I have HUGE issues with the majority of fighters that Jones beat. He looked great beating them...as would Joe have looked had they been on that side of the pond.

Many people discount fighters like Viet & Ashira & Bika...yet they are still contenders today & have beaten game opposition.

No sorry i can't agree with that Calzaghe wouldn't of stopped Hill Toney would of Beat Calzaghe even young Hopkins would of had good shot at Calzaghe and Griffin would of gave Calzaghe hell aswell i don't see Calzaghe beating alot of these names let alone beating em easy.

Apology accepted...but you don't know the outcome of those possible matches anymore than I do.

Saying that Joe has never faced anyone like the names above can be flipped to fit them also.

Hopkins has never fought anyone as fast or angular as Joe outside of Jones & that was prior to Hopkins being the craftsman that he became.

Griffin is & was a joke & I personally believe that Joe would have smoked him.

Prime for prime...Hill & Toney...Toney would have been the tuffest test for Calzaghe. Him or Jones...but again...that's all speculation.

Speculate all you want...but the majority of Calzaghe's detractors either came up hearing & believing all the mash about Joe prior to seeing it & believing it.

It's conditioning to hate & rip Joe apart...many on this forum are guilty of doing so & are already predisposed to that opinion.

Griffin was actually good fighter he did beat James Toney no one denies Calzaghe hasn't got great skills but i've never seen him fight anyone near the class of Toney.

And this has to be said that Calzaghe couldn't carry Jones jockstrap based on there best wins and there records and to be honest prime Jones would of mopped the floor with Calzaghe difference is Calzaghe is good fighter who has no real wins where as Jones is one of the most gifted boxers of all time and made hall of famers look stupid and dominated them.
