Very true indeed. People were SERIOUSLY talking about Curry dethroning the Marvelous One. Seems ridiculous nowadays.

Curry was such a great, wonderful fighter in his prime but the Honeyghan beating took a lot out of him. I know that some (VD) feel that Curry lost because he was weight drained but you also have to factor in he underestimated Lloyd. There was a lot to the build up in that fight. Honey was a tough Jamaican/South London boy who wasn't going to be denied that night. He also bet his purse on a win so you KNOW he was well up for it.

Lloyd had Curry's number just as Starling had Honeyghans number.
