Vitali stated in german tv that there will be no warm up fight anymore...
He will directly fight the winner of Maskaev-Peter...
Of course his disc prolapse will have to be cured first...

They should take away his emeritus status. First of all, a champion (if he were to win), who immediately retires is no good. You need a champion who will be able to defend the belt. And this is the 5th straight fight Klitschko has had to drop out of. In my opinion he's worn out his welcome and should just retire for good.

Agreed with pretty much all of thatOriginally Posted by liquid
Damn y'all don't be so hard on Vitali if all goes like everyone predicts(Sam beats Oleg) then you could see him and sam dance, now that would more intresting than seeing him beat the washed up bums now wouldn't it ?

Well he would probably just find a way out of the winner of Peter/Maskaev, so what's the point I like Vitali but time to stop pretending.
So you think Vitali went this far in his career to find a way out? Ok you can stop pretending that you like him.Originally Posted by LEGION

I hope Vitali comes back and fights well 3 or 4 more times. He's be a legit champ, unlike many of the glorified journeyman holding belts now, Maskaev, Sultan etc...
Oh I like Vitali, but it would sure be nice to see him actually get in the ring again. How many fights has he pulled out of? I'll keep waiting though....Originally Posted by USA LOVES THE KLITSCHKOS
He ABSOLUTELY does NOT deserve the winner of Maskaev-Peter. F@ck Vitali. I hope Peter screws him when he beats Oleg and doesnt fight him like hes done to so many fighters himself. I used to like him but hes become too self important in thinking he can fight who he wants when he want because he fought Lennox for 5 rounds and lost. Its over Vitali.
Psalm 144: Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle
Thats a pretty ignorant comment. He gave Lennox trouble, no heavy out there today other than maybe Wlad would have given Lennox any trouble.Originally Posted by BoomBoom
Sorry you feel that way. That was over 4 years ago now, and it wasnt a prime Lewis. Many boxer have trouble in their last fights and that was Lennox's very last fight. Its not even about that. My point is that he is not deserving of an immediate title shot. If he is then so should any boxer that retired champion. He had his chance but it should be gone now.Originally Posted by eagle

He gave an unmotivated Lennox Lewis who was ready to retire and did. He did not beat a Prime Lewis. Either way it was a hell of an exausting fight. I also think he would have gave Lewis troubles at any point in his career.....Originally Posted by eagle
Fact is you can not disappear for years and expect to just pop in for a title shot....Not right...What about the guys who have been here all along?

Because they all suck theres your answer except Wlad and Vitali couldn't even beat Lewis on his worse day i've seen other boxers give Lewis much more trouble than what Vitali gave him.Originally Posted by eagle
When Lewis was on his game no one gave him troubles except Evander. I know Mcall and Rahman ko'd him but the rematches proved they were flukes.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
