Thanks again for the responces, CC have been doled out. After some serious reflection, I *think* we're gonna stay at our current place as there are just too many questions about the other place, particularily the safety of it. Also there would be no lease, so we could be kicked out basically at the whim of the owner...

Once you establish residency they have to take legal action to get you out. Still, who wants to be where they aren't wanted?
