I reckon Ali gained more fans for what he did outside the ring than in it. I think it's a big part of what the fighter is really about. I mean, if your a fan of a boxer or any sportsman don't you buy their books to learn more about them?

Well to me it isn't and Ali wasn't a nice guy out of the ring either it was because no one had seen anything like Ali before and his charisma was off the page nice or not Ali was an exception i doubt there will be another Ali ever.

Im a fan of any sportsman for what they do inside the ring on the track on a field or where ever they do it i couldn't careless what they do outside there sport i only watch them to see there amazing skills at what they do i couldn't careless about there personality like i said this isn't popularity contest.

Not about just personality though, have you never bought an autobiography or anything? You have never shown an interest for a sports persons life?

I haven't read any book written by or about a serious athlete, far as I know. There are far too many great books in the world to spend time reading one solely about an athlete. Not to mention if it's a boxer's autobiography... I don't want to read something written by a guy who got cracked in the face for a living

Strange, I love learning about fighters I follow. It's a lot more interesting like ICE said, to see things like Beyond the Glory, Foremans and Tysons were fantastic.

I don't mind watching documentary's like Beyond the glory and HBO legendary nights because they do it in a fun way and its interesting i can't be asked to read books though Kel to be honest before i come here my reading wern't that good but its improved alot and so has my boxing knowledge i know you may not believe me but im actually telling the truth.

I'm the same though ICE. I left school with nothing above an E in any subject but have learned more about English and grammar from posting on boxing websites. 'i use 2 txt tlk all da time'
The first book I ever read in my life was Hattons.

I sometimes come across old threads and see what i used to type like and i didn't like what i see i thought i sounded very childish and a bit silly but maybe im being bit harsh on myself but still my punctuation still sucks i got to improve on that.

I would never have known, I thought you was probably highly educated but just typed fast because maybe you was sneaking internet time at work You come accross as a smart lad. Punctuation aint all that important on a site like this anyway I like your posting have a CC bud
