I hear that, it just seems to me like you can't blame the guy for being a bit more cautious when he's fighting top tier guys who have awkward styles and specialize in defense and countering. These were more experienced fighters who have racked up wins by making people pay for every mistake.

I'm not saying that your question isn't valid, but I think he definitely gets more flak and less credit than he should.
