Calzaghe vs Kessler is only a month away...what is it going to take to make you support either man...I mean really.

Well bwoyo’s…I’ve kicked the flu, the ulcers, a mad cash of swamp ass, & I’m finally half way up to speed. The DRBR will be back in full effect this weekend…but coming up in November…two of my favorite undefeated fighters are finally shoving their boots up my mouth & actually letting’ it all hang out with their wangs out!!! It’s all or nothing & finally we are a month away from Joe Calzaghe vs. Mikkell Kessler.

This is a simple question & a vent of sorts for all the supporters & all the haters.

I aint gonna ask your pick…but you can give it after you rant if you would like…but I want to know…what is it that, Brit & Yank & Yellow & Brown alike, really true loathe about most men.

Generally it ranges from Joe slapping his punches & being ineffective…but miraculously living to fight another day whilst his opponent lie crumpled in the floor.

As far as Kessler goes…most say he’s a protected Dane & he’s the only think they have to offer…

SOOOOOOO…I want everyone to kick back & crack a cap of your poison of choice & tell…how much is enough? What will it take to give these two their props/

    Look…I know this is old news…but I’m deeeeeeeeee-runk again & bored.

Talk to me people…talk to me.

Im going with Kessler but i don't think he will get the decision Wacko Kessler has impressed me alot great boxing skills good jab sweet combos he has the whole package this will be a great fight Calzaghe is unorthdox good jab and also has sweet combos but he slaps more with his combos and his workrate is off the page but anyway i think Calzaghe will be the aggressor with Kessler picking him off with his jab Calzaghe will back Kessler into the ropes on occasions and hit Kessler with combos but i think Kessler will win the battle in the middle of the ring and Calzaghe also has a weakness to right hands i feel Kessler will hit Calzaghe quite often with the right hand and stun Calzaghe a few times overall though i have a feeling that Kessler won't get the nod i feel this will be a classic case of Kessler landing the more quality shots and Calzaghe landing the more shots but less effective shots and Calzaghe will win controversial decision.

I have no problem with either fighter really, well, not with Kessler anyways. My problem with Calzaghe is that he has rarely fought anyone who presents a threat to him; yet he and Frank Warren run their mouths about his legacy and how he wants to go down as the best SMW ever etc. By taking this fight against Kessler that critism is mitigated somewhat, but I believe he only took the fight because of the outcry agaisnt him after he chose Manfredo as an opponent.

From the moment I was turned onto Kalzaghe by a friend, I was hooked.

Kessler is not a bad fighter. I like his style, he is pretty slick.

Calzaghe is just a bad azz white boy with a lot of heart.
I just like the crazy guy.

Both guys are really nice and show each other alot of respect which means they both know they are bad ass tough guys. Both have alot of pride and both should be proud of taking this fight, win, lose, or draw. They could have both dicked around with sub-Euro competition until retirement in the division and have a legacy.

I think that Calzaghe wins. he just has mad skills.

However Wacko, I think they would prefer to rock out with their cocks out.....

I don't see how a true boxing fan wouldn't be pumped as shit about this fight. My dad claims it is 'the fight of the century'. While I am not THAT hyped....I am pretty hyped.

To be honest no......as much as i love Joe he has left things so late to suddenly decide to want a legacy...
He needs to beat Kess..then the winner of Jermine Taylor and Kelly Pavlik (this is aslong as the current best fighting the best keeps up) and i think if bhop hasnt retired by then he needs to take him then maybe he wont have any doubters but i cant think of anyone else worthwhile to fight

IF JC wins this, his legacy will be cemented. NO ONE can say anything about that. If he loses, then he'll be labelled over rated etc.

The only thing I really disliked is JC constantly re negotiating fights, pulling out of them etc but I understand that it was through no fault of his own(injury, promoters etc)

The only thing I've disliked about Kessler is his fans who used to make him out to be invincible.#*kind of like alot of Manny fans now). Oter than that,he's a great fighter.

I like both of these fighters.
Both have the talent to put on a fight of a life time.
I would love nothing more than to see these two guys try to out box each other.
Both have pretty solid chins. Both could stand toe to toe with each other and give the fans a great performance, but I believe it will be Calzaghe lunging in and tieing up Kessler alot. You know how Calzaghe does it. I have been going on back and forth in my mind who is going to win and how this fight will pan out. I can not honestly say I know. I already said what I would like to see and I already said what I think Calzaghe will do. For some strange reason, I am starting to lean towards Kessler because of his youth, and his over all boxing abilities. It might be Old Joe's time to lose here. Just a hunch. If Calzaghe does a lot of hugging, grabbing and hitting, this just might be enough or too much of an annoyance for Kessler. Calzaghe just might take Kessler out of his game. Who knows. We shall see soon enough. May the best man win.

I'm gettin right sick of all the Joe C haters.
I'm not a hardcore Joe fan, iv been to a couple of his fights and iv watched a lot on the telly, but i couldn be classed as his biggest fan so i remain fairly impartial. Thats why it's not only frustrating to have people constantly deride him. He is a legitimate champion and is among the elite p4p in the world today! Yet people still question him.
People said he would get his credit if he somehow defeated Lacy, he assasinated Lacy and his repuatation and no reward! The only fault with the result of that fight is that Cal was too effective and Made Lacy look like a bad fighter! And now Kessler, should he Beat Kessler (who i really like,) will Kessler too be dubbed a "paper champion," and an over-rated force

I'm picking Joe, but no way in hell he stops Kessler.

That's how I feel, I find Calzaghe arrogant as shit considering he hasn't beaten anybody. I don't think you can learn anything from watching Calzaghe either. He does things you're taught not to do in a boxing gym..like lean down when you jab to the body rather than bending your knee's (Did it in the first or second round in the Manfredo fight prompting me to think a speedy/powerful fighter would have knocked him the fuck out with a left hook) As far as greatest super middleweight ever, I have tons more respect for other SMW, even domestic. Such as Eubank and Benn for taking on tougher opposition. Benn even more so for his opposition, Eubank more for his skill. Their 5 losses each do not affect the respect these 2 fighters have. Being undefeated means nothing if you havn't fought anybody. Kessler I can stomach because he has fought better competition IMO (Mundine, Librado, Beyer). He went to Australia for Mundine as well which was impressive. Having said all of this I still think Calzaghe is gonna win this match but i'm rooting for Kessler. I like boxers that I can learn from. Calzaghe all i've learnt is that if you're fit enough you can try and throw 100+ punches a round against poor opposition without having to worry about defence or technique.

He did dismatle Lacy impressively..he was an up and comer so Calzaghe didn't get the credit he deserved for making him look completely foolish. He didn't help his cause by going from Lacy back to lacklustre opposition. You're supposed to go up in class (unless you're having a tune-up but I don't think Calzaghe's got the time for tune-ups..he's not getting any younger)
Don't worry though, I think Calzaghe will get credit if he should beat Kessler (and it's not controversial) because Kessler has proved himself somewhat. He's 39-0 and included in his resume are some of the name's I mentioned earlier. Mundine, Andrade etc. He'll get the credit

Kessler was the natural move after Lacy alri, but the fact is nobody knew him and Calzaghe wasn't that well Known outside of the Uk. The same fight is so much more profitable now with Kessler having beaten Beyer AND Andrade & Calzaghe having beaten a very famous yet limited boxer in mANFREDO.
Now the fight means a lot more to both guys, and the boxing public and it will be far more profitable for all involved, thats why he fought manfredo and why they haven't met sooner

That's a fair and valid point bro. However, I am sure he had other, more respected (as well as profitable) opponents since Lacy rather than Bika and Manfredo. Frank Warren annoys me more than Joe Calzaghe in truth with his opponent picking. Although, it's up to the fighter to speak up if he doesn't like the easy competition he's being put in their with. Which is why I respect Hatton more so for speaking up and fucking Frank off. Joe just seems to be happy tooting his horn along with Warren after beating down each hand picked opponent. If he beats Kessler though, I won't be a fan but I will definitely give him credit. Anyone who doesn't after a victory like that would be stupid.

Ya i respect that, also share in ur dissapproval of Frank Warren. With Naz, Joe, Ricky and Enzo it wasn't terriblt evident, but with Kahn its actually offensive the guys he's offering as fights.
