I remember the story Brian London gave, about being offered a £100 by his promoter (back in 62/63), to confront then World Heavyweight Champion Sonny Liston, who was on a world tour.

London stepped up to Liston in a press conference, and thumped his hands down at the table Liston was sitting at. Liston stood up and stared at London... Brian said he "shit himself" and that it was "almost, not worth the money!"
