I had JT ahead by 3 points up untill the KO. Taylor was too willing to please and gassed out. Normaly his defense is pritty good in the Hopkins fight and Winky fight he had a solid defense but he seemed a little sloppy in that department last night. He should have picked his spots and boxed rather than trying to get Pavlik out of there. I give credit to Pavlik for his heart and persistance but hes not that great of a fighter. He should either give JT a rematch which he will lose or fight Winky who will box him silly

JT up by 3 points, ? I had Pavlik up by one point going into the 7th round, I could see one point one way or the other but 3 or 4 points as the official judges had it is just bias judging. I think you should watch that fight again and you will see that the only round JT dominated was round two. I think a rematch would result in the same outcome.

If you had Taylor up 3 points then you can't score a fight im sorry but you can't Pavlik won 3 rounds clearly there was no more than 1 point in it either way.

Pavlik had the higher workrate but Taylor was quicker more accurate and landing the cleaner punches. I score fights based on how effective and efficent fighters are not how much leather is flying.

Thanks man. I hate to talk shit behind a computer and act like I'm trying to instigate arguments just to do it, but damn I get tired of excuses. They're professional fighters and this is their life, so it's up to them to be prepared. JT could have done this or that to win, but Kelly could have done some stuff different also and finished the fight sooner. Get over it; shit happens!!!! well the first round was pritty close i just like Taylors work more the Pavliks thats all Taylor started well and finshed the round well you could make and argument for either fighter. I am not a fan of either fighter i scored the fight as i saw it a lot of people think im full of shit but hey none of us are professional judges so i think its kinda harsh to flame me.

I give credit to Pavlik for the KO, dont get me wrong it was an impressive victory i just dont think he the dogs back wheels. The fight was a close one but i had Taylor edging most of the rounds there are arguments for both sides. The reason i say Winky would win a UD quite comfortably is because he is a very good technical boxer with awesome defense and a good jab i think this would give Pavlik all kinds of problems due to his defensive frailties. I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

I'm not flaming you ACEA, you saw things somewhat differently and that's always how it will be. I just think people aren't giving Kelly his due respect and saying JT lost the fight because of this or that. Kelly almost lost himself the fight because of what he did. They both could have done things differently and it might have come to the same conclusion. This is what they have 6-8 weeks to get ready for. At least we have these fights to talk about in the 1st place And off the topic, they sould have 5 judges scoring the fight instead of 3 IMO.

To say that "taylor beat himself" tends to discredit Pavlik. Well I'll put it this way if Pavlik was cautious and had better defense in round 2 I don't think Taylor would have landed that right hand that hurt Kelly.
Pavlik was CONSISTENTLY landing left jabs and his power right hand over the course of the 7 rounds it might not be as flashy and quick as Taylor's but I'm pretty sure it's doing some damage. JT was being backed up by Pavlik and he can't do anything about it, for the first time JT actually fought somebody as big as him if not bigger. The accumulation of power punches from Pavlik beat Taylor

I agree with you. People, let's not discredit what Pavlik had done by blaming Taylor. Taylor had done his best in the second round. As ICB had said, he gave 44 powershots but still Pavlik recovered. Give the recognition to Pavlik for surviving that round.

When Winky only gets hit by Dela Hoya 21% of the time I'll say he has the best defense, but right Floyd has by far the best defense in the game, but I agree that Winky would beat Pavlik.
