I see a rematch coming tho.
Who cares though? This fight couldn't even get TV slot, they weren't interested.
Is that the fighters fault or does it just illustrate the lack of focus on boxing by the general media?
If the fighter is boring people wont watch (unless it's Hopkins, but that's a different country )

I guess the TV bods got fed-up with Eastman being in borefests
Yet heavyweight fights are commonly aire by Eurosport, ITV even the BBc?

A Heavyweight fight probably appeals to the casual boxing fan more than anyother...

But whats your point? Not all heavyweight fights are boring. A boring fight is a boring fight regardless of the weightclass. And eventually people will not pay to watch, not watch on TV, so therefore the TV companies wont buy the fights.

To be honest Fenster that is my point. In this day and age the majority of heavyweight fights ARE boring affairs. When compared to the action available at lower weights even at a domestic level, even significant heavyweight fights are below par.
And whilst i agree that Heavyweights are more attractive to the casual fan and the general public, i feel that the misrepresentation of the Heavyweight division as the best of boxing is a large factor contributing to the disdain of the sport by people.

You know what? i had every faith in him, at first.

I saw the Hershia (sp) fight and i remember Lewis reaction to the finish and thought wow, this guy is lazy but he can fight like fuk when he needs to.

Never saw that in him again though. So disapointed

The Williams fight was a good display, really highlights the fact that he makes no effort the rest of the time.

Williams came in at like 6 days notice and was basically punching bag i didn't think it showed good display.

Audleys mentality was different for that fight, he was willing to fight.
I feel that was largely due to the fact that he knew Williams was underprepared but nonetheless he showed that he has true power and if he applied himself menatlly to all fights as he did there he could be a succesful heavyweight.

If you take the Willimas and Hershia fights into account, i think it equates to about 15% of his fighting carrer where he actually asserted himself :P
